This year PT Foundation (PTF) is celebrating its 25th birthday. This milestone is both a cause for celebration and reflection. At PT we are ever mindful of the need to expand our reach so that every individual in need can access our services. In line with our 25th birthday, we are holding a celebratory concert to ensure that we can keep dreams alive for the next 25 years.
Established in 1987 in Kuala Lumpur, PT Foundation (PTF) has come a long way from operating a two-line telephone counseling service out of an apartment on Jalan Alor. The first non-governmental organization (NGO) to carry out HIV/AIDS work in Malaysia, PTF has braved funding droughts, program closures and negative societal attitudes. In 25 years we have become the leading community-based, voluntary non-profit making organization providing information, education and care services relating to HIV/AIDS and sexuality in Malaysia. Approximately 200 vulnerable individuals seek refuge at our drop-in centers each month; in 2011 alone we had 6, 639 dependants. Over the years we have reached out to over 60,000 of the most marginalized members of society.
To mark our achievements and the journey forward we are holding a celebratory fundraising event on the 19th of May at ECOBA (Saturday) from 7.30pm onwards. All proceeds are going to men, women and children affected and infected by HIV/AIDS. Francissca Peter, distinguished artiste and Ambassador to the International Aid Organisation, World Vision has graciously agreed to come on board and will be performing on the night. William Quah, familiar face and voice in the Malaysian entertainment scene, will be emceeing for the night. The proceeds of our 25th Anniversary Celebration will enable us to continue educating, enabling and empowering those who are most affected by HIV/AIDS in Malaysia.

The work we carry out is crucial but we cannot do it alone. We need every Malaysian to realize that the battle against HIV/AIDS is EVERYONE'S battle; and only through joining hands will we be victorious.
Let’s join hands and tie our 25th Year Red-Ribbon together in aid of Children, Women and Men living with HIV/AIDS.
