Dear Parents, Friends and 'Strangers' on my blog;
It has been pretty hard to digest as we received news that Japan had a terrible earthquake followed by tsunami. Globally, everyone is trying to do a small part in helping our friends, from prayers to generous contributions.
The Junior Academy (FasTracKids Bangsar) will be selling baked goods to support the victims in Japan. The event will take place on 18th April 2011, Monday at 10.00 a.m. onwards at the academy. Parents and kids from The Junior Academy will be pitching in and helping to make food. From cookies, buns, brownies and muffins to cakes, fruit pies or cupcakes. There will also be raffle prizes on that day (lucky draw prizes sponsored from retailers nearby the mall). Even for those who can't make it on that day, you can still buy raffle tickets and if you win, we will contact you to redeem your goodies! All funds received will benefit the Japan Red Cross Society relief efforts.
This is also an appropriate time for the kids involved to be engaged in a charity and learn the concept of helping people in times of need, besides enjoying some treats at school.
So for those who are planning to pop by to lend your support, you will be lending a hand in charity AND to help our little ones learn to be kindred souls =).
Food will be labeled with the name and list of ingredients in case you have some food allergies etc.
I will also be there to help out -- so do drop by if you are at Bangsar Village next week ya?
Thank you for reading ...
Help Support Japan!
Sincerely,
Daphne & Isobel
(spreading the love for The Junior Academy)
