Bella producer Ayesyah Wahab, 27, said the children from the home are mostly from poor families and children of single parents.
"The SMS which was circulated among the public regarding the lack of food in this home caught our attention.
"We decided to have an early Hari Raya celebration with the children and highlight the problems faced by the home," said Ayesyah.
The home began its operations since late 2009 with only a few children.
However, more families began sending their children here and it had become increasingly difficult financially to run the home. The monthly expenditure is about RM10,000.
Seven of the girls are living in a house close to Teratak Nur Barakah while 20 boys are living at the official residence.
The youngest girl is 4 and the oldest is 7.
