Michelin Pilot Experience 2008

Being an avid Motorsports fanatic, I grabbed the chance to participate in a one-of-a-kind Michelin Pilot Experience at Sepang. Despite the rain and distance, I had no regrets going!
Jien and I had to go through a quick medical check up prior to the event.

I was pleased with the little details they put into for this event. I had my own locker with my name on it!
Tying up my racing shoes
(Elvis Presley's "Blue Suede Shoes" came into my mind at this point)

Yellow Batch
Ian, Daphne, Jien, Art and Loon. Ain joined us later.

But first, to learn about the racing machine!

My Umbrella MAN!

Aston Martin on the left, Porshe Carrera on the right. These beauties were both used during the Merdeka Millenium Endurance Race held recently.

Finding out more on slick tyres
(FYI, next year for F1, slick tyres will be introduced. Watching the race is going to be more interesting!)
Group picture before we head off in our Formula Renault and GT5's

Posing ala Lewis Hamilton?
Helmet check?
I'm good to go!

Let's stretch those legs first!

The only females involved for Yellow batch. Also the fastest?

Wet circuit, which makes it even more enticing to test drive!

Going through the mechanics of the Formula Renault one last time...

Follow the safety car Daphne

And I'm off!

I was not able to get shots of me on the circuit. Neither did I do the whole full circuit (dang! wanted to try out the 'hairpin'), but the 2 and half laps was still very eventful!

I think I WILL train harder for next year's MME Race.
Speaking of race, ING Belgian Formula 1 Grand Prix Qualifying is tonight.

Woohoo! F1!

  1. Way to go girl, hope they organise one for Female to F1 soon.
